We’re looking for a Vice President, Account Management to lead our Buyer Services Team in the Americas. This is a key leadership role, based in New York City, that is responsible for overseeing all aspects of account management across our agency and marketer business. This role will work closely with sales leadership to develop a regional strategy, drive the account management vision, objectives and goals, and ensure the team is exceeding our customer’s expectations by delivering on our high service standards. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent collaboration, communication, and organizational skills. The ability to encourage and support the team, take responsibility, and be self-motivated is a must.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
Customer Focus:
- Drive significant growth across HoldCo Partners.
- Partner with Sales to develop, communicate, and execute a regional agency strategy.
- Customer-first mindset: advocate for our buyers and ensure that their needs are represented through consistent communication to internal stakeholders across operations, product, marketing, and our executive team.
- Set the standards for delivering excellent customer service and take accountability for the service quality of the organization.
- Establish new/ cultivate existing relationships with our key agency customers, with a focus on senior stakeholders.
- Ensure delivery on key customer objectives, initiatives, and account plans.
Leadership and Team Development:
- Lead, coach and mentor an existing high-performing account management team, fostering a winning-culture mentality.
- Support the team through frequent communication and upward feedback on wins and challenges.
- Know when to escalate challenges and roadblocks and provide solutions to problems faced.
- Collaborate with key cross-functional and regional counterparts to drive and execute Index’s strategic bets.
- Oversee the development and implementation of new projects and key initiatives.
- Be an example of Index Exchange Core Values and lead the way for others to follow.
Operational Management:
- Implement and monitor performance metrics to ensure accountability and progress.
- Drive innovation and encourage a culture of continuous improvement to optimizing processes and maximizing growth.
- Quarterly financial planning – forecasting, target setting and budgeting.
- Ownership of revenue targets for the agency & marketer business in the Americas.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- 10+ years of experience in digital media and an in-depth understanding of the programmatic advertising landscape. Previous experience in a buyer-facing role is highly regarded.
- Experience in a senior management role, focused on mentorship and development of employees to see career success.
- An excellent understanding of the NA buy-side market, as well as a comprehensive network.
- Proven track record of successful strategic planning and execution.
- Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
The base salary for this role is USD 220,000 to 300,000. The total compensation package may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills and experience.
