Index Exchange is looking for a Vice President, Buyer Development to lead our European team with offices in London, Madrid, Paris, Berlin, and Dusseldorf. The Buyer Development team at Index Exchange helps buyers find the most efficient path to the audiences and supply they are looking for across all digital channels.

In this role, you will manage and cultivate business relationships across European Agencies and direct brands. You are active in-market  and bring strong relationships with you. You enjoy providing marketplace guidance, have experience developing and driving strategy and ensuring teams are positioned to execute against key opportunities. An important aspect of this role involves developing effective client interactions to foster better working relationships, collaboration, and overall partnerships with Agencies and Marketers

We’re searching for a Vice President, Buyer Development to lead our agency and brand sales team across EMEA.

What We’re Looking For:

Experienced leader with a deep understanding of the programmatic ecosystem, proven track record, and key strategic relationships across the agency community.

  • Knowledgeable: Depth of knowledge in ad tech including advertising/agency business models, technical understanding of media trading, RTB and/or other related advertising technology is essential.
  • Strategic: You will draw on your experience to formulate, track, and drive to completion initiatives designed to enhance and strengthen our client relationships. We’ll look to you to identify actionable insights and new opportunities for our clients and team members to increase revenue and drive greater marketplace demand.
  • Relationships: You have worked with and established relationships with key Holding Companies and Agency leadership over your career. You have friends and colleagues scattered around the industry you can call upon to help drive strategic discussion and support your team with.
  • Accountable: You love metrics and can help a sales team focus and be accountable to them. You will implement, manage and report regularly on key metrics to help guide and drive growth across your customer base. You bring planning, operational excellence, and experience setting and reaching goals that align with overall company strategy.

Seasoned mentor and coach with deep passion for developing and guiding all levels within an organisation.

  • Leader: You will be directly responsible for building and leading a world class agency development team charged with identifying and driving regionally-relevant strategies that drive growth across your team's portfolio of customers.
  • Mentorship: Our current team has the knowledge, ability, and drive to make a huge impact on our growth as a company. In this role, you will be expected to nurture and guide the team by leveraging your experience mentoring, coaching, leading, and providing feedback on a global scale.

  • Key Talent: We are growing quickly. High comfort level with organisational design, hiring top talent, and retaining key employees through career development and upward mobility.

Work cross-functionally with various stakeholders to drive forward progress across the Buyer Development team.

  • Communication: Extensive communication skill, knowledge-sharing, financial acumen including P&L management, and partnering with Product, Finance, HR and Executive Leadership. Deep understanding of how to collaborate across functions to get desired outcomes to help drive your business forward.
  • Collaborative: You’ll need to work cross-functionally with other Index Exchange teams to implement strategies, provide feedback/insight/reports and document new processes to help drive growth for your business.

Here’s What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead the EMEA organisation whose top priority is helping buyers find the most efficient path to the audiences and supply they are looking for across all digital channels. This includes setting the vision and strategy, planning, forecasting, goal setting, and ongoing measurement.
  • Experience setting broad strategies and vision for your team whilst managing at a market-level, catering for regional nuances.
  • Work as a change agent, encourage curiosity, exploration,  greatness, and positive momentum with direct team members and partnering cross-functional teams.
  • Coach, mentor, and support team members across all business needs. Including hiring, career progression, and growth.
  • Navigate and nurture key relationships with executive leaders across strategic buyers to further Index Exchange’s position in the market
  • Close partner and collaborator with the Executive Leadership Team in driving company strategy and initiatives.
  • Active participant in contributing to a positive culture and upholding Index Exchanges core values.
  • Regional travel to connect with team members and clients will be expected.
