MetService, New Zealand’s national meteorological service, today announced it has selected Index Exchange as its preferred supply‑side platform (SSP), strengthening MetService’s programmatic advertising offering across its digital properties.
“We’re excited to partner with Index Exchange to further strengthen our programmatic capabilities across web and app,” said Vinay Shriyan, Programmatic & Ad Operations Manager, MetService. “This partnership enables us to connect our premium audience and high‑quality inventory with a broader pool of local and global demand, while maintaining transparency, efficiency, and brand safety for our advertising partners. Index Exchange’s reputation for innovation and trusted marketplace technology makes them a natural fit for our long‑term growth strategy.”
Through the partnership, MetService gains the ability to activate a full range of deal types via Index Exchange from private marketplace to open auction allowing closer alignment with buyer demand and optimised yield across its digital platforms. The integration also lays groundwork for the development of new weather‑driven data solutions, enabling advertisers to reach audiences at moments shaped by real‑time conditions and behaviour.
“MetService plays a central role in the daily lives of New Zealanders, and we’re proud to support their advertising strategy as their preferred SSP,” said Elizabeth Grant, Regional Director, Partner Development APAC, Index Exchange. “This collaboration brings together trusted content and best‑in‑class programmatic technology, giving advertisers flexible and efficient access to high‑quality inventory. We are excited about the opportunities we’re able to support as MetService advances its data‑led advertising solutions.”
The partnership reinforces both organisations’ commitment to quality, transparency and long‑term value for marketers, agencies and audiences across New Zealand and global markets.
