Amid evolving market dynamics, Index appoints proven leaders to drive product innovation, strategic revenue growth, and brand impact at global scale
Index Exchange Inc. (Index), one of the world’s largest independent supply-side platforms (SSPs), today announced six senior leadership appointments spanning services, engineering, product, revenue, strategy, and brand marketing. Among them is Index Exchange’s new chief customer officer, a role that reinforces the company’s focus on delivering strategic value and deepening relationships across its global customer ecosystem. With these new leaders onboard, Index Exchange is poised to accelerate innovation, deepen its global reach, and continue building a more efficient, transparent, and trusted exchange — delivering long-term value across the programmatic ecosystem.

Index Exchange welcomes the following leaders to its team:
Marybeth McGaugh, Chief Customer Officer
McGaugh brings over a decade of leadership experience in ad tech, most recently serving as vice president of client services at The Trade Desk, where she played a key role in scaling global client-facing teams and accelerating growth across major agency and strategic accounts. She previously led strategic partnerships at PubMatic, building on a foundation in investment management. At Index, McGaugh leads the global Services organisation, where she will focus on amplifying strategic value, streamlining service delivery, and advancing the company’s customer-first strategy. McGaugh is based in New York and reports directly to CEO Andrew Casale.
Robin Steinberg, Senior Vice President, Revenue, Americas
Formerly at PubMatic, Steinberg led the sales team and played a key role in advancing initiatives in streaming TV and supply path optimisation (SPO). She brings deep expertise in agency and brand direct partnerships and marketplace innovation, and is responsible for demand-side revenue at Index Exchange. Based in New York, Steinberg reports to CRO Alex Gardner.
Michael Richardson, Vice President of Product
Richardson brings deep cross-platform experience, having co-founded mobile app pioneer Airship, co-founded and chaired Prebid.org at AppNexus, and most recently as Global Head of Product at Samsung Ads. At Index, he will lead the Product Management team in evolving Index Marketplaces to support a more dynamic partner ecosystem and navigate the complexities of modern programmatic. Based in Portland, OR, Richardson reports to SVP of Product Michael McNeeley.
Jennifer Smith, Vice President of Engineering
Smith brings a strong track record of leading high-impact teams and driving breakthrough technologies. Most recently engineering director and site lead at Google Waterloo, she is known for pushing technological boundaries through calculated risks and fostering a creative, results-driven culture. At Index, Smith leads engineering teams focused on scaling the company’s applications and capabilities to support growth in key areas like video and Index Marketplaces—areas core to delivering value for customers and driving long-term impact. She is based in Toronto and reports to CTO Ray Ghanbari.
Daniel Perez, Vice President of Brand Marketing
With nearly two decades of digital marketing and ad tech experience—including his recent role as chief marketing officer at InMarket—Perez has a proven track record in SaaS-based enterprise solutions and product marketing leadership at fast-growing MarTech companies like Celtra and Cuebiq. At Index, Perez leads a newly formed Marketing Communications team to deliver a cohesive, data-driven brand experience across content, events, creative, and employer branding. Perez is based in New York, and he reports to CMO Lori Goode.
Gerry D’Angelo joins Index Exchange as an Advisor
D’Angelo brings decades of global marketing leadership from Procter & Gamble, Mondelez, and Samsung Electronics. Known for driving growth through data-driven marketing innovation, D’Angelo is refining go-to-market strategies and elevating Index Exchange’s presence within the brand community.
These strategic additions come at a time of accelerating global growth and evolving market dynamics, underscoring Index Exchange’s commitment to strengthening its leadership bench and delivering innovative solutions that drive value and foster lasting partnerships across the industry.
