About The Role:
We’re looking for a Staff MLOps Engineer who can bring their depth and breadth of experience in applied data science and optimization at industry scale to help guide our Index-wide technology strategy for machine learning and optimization, and to drive pragmatic execution and iterative improvement of the same.
Index’s scale spans the globe, our transactions happen 24x7 in our global data centers, and every second that passes millions of requests are evaluated across our exchange. In order to achieve our mission, global efficiency and reliability are absolutely key, as every millisecond quite literally counts in our business.
What We’re Looking For:
- Lead the design and architecture of enterprise-scale MLOps systems, setting standards for high-performance ML products.
- Spearhead the modernization initiatives for MLOps infrastructure, advocating for best practices in automating and streamlining complex processes across the organization.
- Provide thought leadership in advanced data management strategies, optimizing for performance given extensive data loads.
- Mentor teams and set strategic direction for machine learning engineering deployment practices, promoting a culture of excellence.
- Navigate complex problem-solving situations, contributing to decisions that affect the broader business's strategic direction.
- Direct the expansion and sophistication of CI/CD pipelines, ensuring the enterprise keeps with cutting-edge practices and remains efficient, through engagement with ML and MLOps evolution outside of the organization.
Here's What You Need:
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated leadership in engineering teams, with a history of driving significant tech initiatives to successful outcomes.
- Expertise in high-performance backend technologies, preferably including Golang.
- Extensive experience with cloud and distributed systems, data-intensive applications, and large-scale system design.
- Mastery of machine learning operationalization, with deep knowledge of current trends, tools, and frameworks.
- Proven problem-solving prowess, capable of pioneering novel solutions to sophisticated technical challenges.
- Significant experience in leading the development, deployment, and continuous improvement of complex CI/CD pipelines.
- A love of technology, or thirst for knowledge, or curiosity about the world, or a desire to solve the hardest problems.
