Index Exchange has implemented rigorous standards for safe and inclusive environments. These standards are established and formalized in Index Exchange policy, approved by our executive team, and apply to all Indexers, customers, and partners attending Index-owned, industry, and internal events.
These standards reflect our commitment and shared responsibility to create environments that are safe, respectful, and inclusive for everyone — free from harassment, discrimination, or intimidation.
We believe that exceptional standards begin with how we treat one another.
At Index, our values don’t stop at our products; they also define how we show up as people. These standards guide every interaction, from the main stage to informal gatherings.
When attending or hosting events with Index, we expect all participants, including employees, partners, vendors, and guests, to:
- Be respectful and inclusive – Use professional, considerate, and welcoming language.
- Respect personal and cultural boundaries – Physical or verbal behavior should always be appropriate and consensual.
- Act responsibly – Consume alcohol in moderation and maintain professionalism in all settings.
- Champion safety – Look out for others and speak up if you see something concerning.
- Represent Index proudly – Employee conduct reflects our values in meetings, at events, and after hours.
Index will not tolerate behavior that undermines safety, respect, or inclusion. Examples include (but are not limited to):
- Harassment, discrimination, or intimidation of any kind
- Unwelcome sexual advances, gestures, jokes, or physical contact
- Bullying, stalking, or persistent unwanted attention
- Excessive intoxication or disruptive conduct
- Retaliation against anyone who raises a concern in good faith
- Any behavior that violates laws, venue rules, or Index policies
Intoxication or “social context” is never an excuse for misconduct.

Reports will be handled promptly, respectfully, and confidentially, with no tolerance for retaliation in accordance with Index Exchange policy.
Your safety and trust are our priority.
Index takes any violation of our standards seriously. Actions may include:
- Immediate removal from the event.
- Revocation of future participation in Index-hosted or sponsored events.
- Notification of venue security, when appropriate.
All matters involving Index employees will be managed internally in accordance with Index Exchange policy.
Our goal is accountability and ensuring that every event meets the same high standards of integrity, quality, and transparency that define Index Exchange.
These standards are reviewed annually and updated to reflect best practices, Index policy and alignment from our executive leadership team.
Index Exchange events and community teams receive training on how to apply and uphold our standards. In addition, these standards will be distributed before every Index-owned event and are always available on our website.
