Index Exchange is seeking a Digital Content Specialist to create engaging, high-quality content that drives brand awareness and customer engagement across our digital channels and shapes Index’s narrative in market. Reporting to the manager, content marketing, and based in NYC, you’ll be responsible for writing, producing, editing, publishing, and distributing timely and relevant updates across the company’s suite of digital channels. This role is a highly visible and integral part of the digital team with the potential to make a huge impact on our marketing goals and objectives.

What We’re Looking For:

  • An exceptional writer with a knack for simplifying complex topics in an engaging way
  • An eagle-eyed editor and creative idea generator with a passion for digital content
  • Experience with digital, social, and marketing automation platforms
  • Ability to work cross-functionally across a diverse group of stakeholders including executives, partners, and customers along with creative, comms, employer brand, international, product marketing, and L&D teams
  • Ability to build and maintain a strong knowledge of Index Exchange, our leadership team, our product suite, and business objectives, as well as the ad technology industry and landscape

Here’s What You’ll be Doing:

  • Execute digital marketing tactics across our owned platforms and channels, including website, blog, email, and social
  • Create content and manage ongoing publishing updates across our CMS for our suite of global websites and blogs, for example: pages, posts, case studies, press, video, and more
  • Optimize our website and blog content, ensuring it adheres to SEO best practices
  • Help create larger assets (guides, reports, white papers, etc.) and comprehensive campaigns in support of driving brand awareness and customer engagement around our company objectives
  • Create engaging social posts, assets, and videos and manage ongoing publishing, monitoring, and measurement across our channels, including LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube
  • Build and deliver emails in our marketing automation platform, Marketo
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness of data, drip campaigns, and sales leads within Marketo
  • Monitor and manage our editorial calendar with the manager, content marketing, proposing content themes and topics that support our global content marketing strategy
  • Oversee digital request tickets via Jira
  • Be a steward of the Index style guide and work with cross-departmental content creators to ensure adherence, brand alignment, and tone of voice across all messaging and materials
  • Collaborate with internal teams and communicate publishing announcements to stakeholders
  • Partner with international and translation teams to ensure global content quality and consistency

Here's What You Need:

  • 3+ years of experience in editorial, content development, marketing, communications, or journalism
  • Exceptional copywriting and editing skills, with ability to adapt tone depending on audience and channel (B2B tech or ad tech experience is a plus)
  • Writing samples that demonstrate exceptional writing skills and ability to translate complex topics into digestible content
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Good understanding of SEO
  • Experience using a CMS such as WordPress
  • Experience using other marketing and project management tools such as Marketo, Canva, Hootsuite, Jira, and Confluence
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining tight deadlines
  • Positive, can-do, self-starter attitude
  • Ability to work cross-functionally across multiple teams
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills
  • Desire to remain informed about emerging digital trends, especially in the advertising and tech space

The base salary for this role is USD 60,000 to 99,000.  The total compensation package may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills and experience. ​​
